Meet the Team
Lee Pacey - Director of Development and Operations
Lee has worked on the ESR programme within the Development Team since November 2001. He has 19 years experience in Human Resource Management – 18 of those within the NHS in Acute, Community and Mental Health settings. Lee graduated from Sheffield Business School (Business Studies) in 1992. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Lee was appointed to the role of Director of Development and Operations in November 2011 and is responsible for (in partnership with our McKesson partners) the overall ESR footprint with regard to the functional solution and operational stability. This role ensures that the solution and service continue to be fit for purpose and meets contractual requirements.
Nick Adcock - Senior Development Advisor
Nick is the NHS Central Team lead for HR, Self Service, OLM and Reports. This involves working with the system provider and national organisations to ensure ESR remains compliant with HR policies and continues to develop in line with the needs of the NHS, and supporting the continued development of functionality in conjunction with the National Special Interest Groups.
John Stevenson - Senior Development Advisor
John is the NHS Central Team Lead for Payroll and Pensions. Working with the system provider and national organisations to ensure ESR remains compliant with Statutory Regulations and Terms and Conditions of Service and continues to develop in line with the needs of the NHS. Also, responsible for overseeing the continued development of functionality in conjunction with the National Special Interest Group.
Kieron Walsh - Senior Development Advisor
Kieron is the NHS Central Team lead for Workforce Information. Working with NHS-related bodies at national, regional and local level, including Special Interest Groups, to ensure that ESR supports their workforce planning and information needs either through ESR itself or the Data Warehouse. Ensuring that the data item value sets made available satisfy the User and/or National Workforce Dataset requirements as appropriate.
Development of the Core Solution
The NHS ESR Development Team's fundamental purpose is to act as '
'custodians of the ESR Solution'. This role includes ownership of the solution requirements, design and associated national processes. The team has the following main purpose/responsibilities:
The team is currently working on a range of initiatives
- Key OLM developments to improve waitlisting functionality and devolved trainer access;
- Improvements to the transfer of national competencies between NHS employers;
- Ability to record an employee photograph against their HR record;
- Significant changes to the integration between ESR and e-Recruitment solutions;
- Deployment of the Business Intelligence toolkit to the ESR Data Warehouse solution and users;
